Tensions are rising in the South China Sea after Taiwan’s Coast Guard reportedly used a water cannon to drive away a Chinese fishing vessel near Dongsha Island. Taiwan says the vessel ignored three radio warnings before the patrol ship targeted its wheelhouse with water for around 90 seconds. The Chinese fishing boat reportedly later suffered an engine failure and was provided food before being towed outside Taiwan’s restricted waters. The incident comes amid repeated encounters between Taiwanese and Chinese vessels around Dongsha, highlighting the growing maritime tensions between Taipei and Beijing. #TaiwanChinaTensions #TaiwanCoastGuard #ChinaTaiwan #DongshaIsland #SouthChinaSea #TaiwanStrait #ChineseFishingBoat #TaiwanWaterCannon #ChinaTaiwanConflict #TaiwanNavy #TaiwanMilitary #ChineseCoastGuard #TaiwanNews #ChinaNews #SouthChinaSeaTensions #TaiwanCrisis #ChinaTaiwanTensions #MaritimeTensions #TaiwanUpdate #ChinaUpdate #BreakingNews #AsiaSecurity #IndoPacific #TaiwanWaters #Dongsha~PR.460~ED.102~GR.508~HT.178~VG.HM~
