The CDC has dispatched response teams after a confirmed Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, linked to the Bundibugyo virus strain, which currently has no approved vaccine. The WHO has labeled this outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. According to the CDC, the threat level to the American populace remains low, but international response protocols have been activated and monitoring for any cases brought into the country is underway.
